Folly Beach Crab Shack
March 7, 2010
Under sunny skies with a warm breeze blowing in off the ocean, the ITNCharlestonTrident ™ hosted its 1st Annual ITN Oyster Roast on Sunday, March 7th. 100 friends and supporters of the community based alternative transportation for seniors and the visually impaired in the lowcountry engaged in the “Shucking for Seniors” event. Bushels after bushels of the steaming mollusks were shucked while the participants enjoyed listening to live music by the Folly Dogs. Tunes covered the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s along with contemporary hits and requests. A silent auction attracted many competitive bidders hoping to win items ranging from website development to wine baskets. Folly Beach Crab Shack owner Ron Hill and his staff did an outstanding job of providing delicious food and drinks for the attendees. The 2nd Annual ITN Oyster Roast is expected to be even bigger and better (if that’s possible).
